ADEQUACY OF THE SPORTS CENTER OF THE E.T.S. OF ARCHITECTURE OF SEVILLE
It’s a project of the Sports Pavilion of the Superior School of Architecture of Seville to combine sporting use with use of workshops for PFG’s Architecture and Master Degree courses in Architecture.
Presents a proposal to adapt the Sports Hall providing access and use to persons with reduced mobility, improvement of the electrical installation, the active fire safety and ventilation system. Along with these improvements, and with a clear proposal to keep an interior space for the practice of sport (basketball, football 7…), some modules of wood that can be moved and placed on the inside, when it is not in use, and serve to facilitate the work of an application’s architecture workshops are designed.
Different modules with different characteristics, which can be joined together creating various combinations, have been designed as if it were train carriages, according to the needs of students. The modules can operate independently when temperature and acoustics conditions permitted, and in the months in which the temperature required it or if it is necessary to create a space isolated from the noise, these modules can join each other and also join one of the fixed modules that are located in the interior of the Pavilion next to the walls of the facade which will control the thermal conditions within the spaces that you want to define.
The project is divided into a first phase of refurbishment of the existing Pavilion for the access and use of people with disabilities, improvements of the electrical system, the active system of fire safety and improvements of drainage of the cover, as well as the creation of three modules of classrooms of wood on the inside of the Pavilion.
